Each student receives daily, one-on-one instructional sessions to further address areas of greatest challenge. Students are grouped according to skill level and learning style in class sizes no larger than twelve individuals.The summer staff consists of learning specialists, speech & language pathologists, reading specialists and content instructors. The program is designed to develop language, encoding/decoding, reading comprehension, writing, math, test preparation, organization and time management skills.At the conclusion of the day, students are given the opportunity to socialize with new and old friends in a less structured environment by enrolling in one or more after school activities (judo, digital photography, modern sculpture, contemporary dance, basketball, art, yoga, fun and fitness, acting, as well as a social communication/pragmatics group) for an additional fee. Winston Preparatory Summer Enrichment provides students with the unique opportunity to participate in an individually designed program aimed to enhance academic skills.
