Ozark Conference Center is a full-service, interdenominational adult conference center that places special emphasis on camping for children and youth. Ozark is located on 325 acres atop Jenkins Mountain in Solgohachia, Arkansas. Solgohachia has a Native American heritage since it was one of the stopping places on the "Trail of Tears" and there are several legends about the origin of the name. Some say the name comes from a Native American name meaning "a hole in the mountain" while others think the town was named for a favorite warrior of the Cherokee tribe named Sol, who was unusually good with his hatchet.Whatever the name or history, after many years as a nomadic ministry, God led the founders and leaders of Ozark Conference Center to a home on one of the most beautiful mountaintops in Arkansas.
