The year 2010 will mark the 83rd anniversary of the creation of Camp Huckins. Since its founding in 1928, Camp Huckins has provided a special kind of summer experience for each young person to cherish and carry with them throughout their life.
Although the camp has grown and changed over the years, our essential mission remains the same. Our goal is to provide a sharing and caring atmosphere where each person can grow to realize their full potential . An important aspect of this goal is to encourage the development of leadership skills. Many of our staff and program specialists have started as campers and have worked their way up through the ranks to become counselors. Many eventually return as professional program staff members to pass on their valuable skills to new generations of campers.
Camp Huckins is located in the town of Freedom, NH. The camp's approximate 200 acres include 2800 feet of sandy shoreline on Ossipee Lake's Broad Bay. Our active waterfront includes a private island.
