The Kansas East Conference's vision is for people and churches to be spiritually alive and growing. The conference mission is to connect and empower people and churches in living out the Gospel's call to invite, nurture, equip and send forth disciples of Jesus Christ. The Kansas East Conference has 324 churches in the eastern one-third of Kansas.



Eight days after the January earthquake in Haiti, Melissa Crutchfield led a small team to the island to start assessing emergency needs for the United Methodist Committee on Relief. The ability of her team to get to Haiti quickly was due in part to One Great Hour of Sharing.Methodists in Chile are beginning to assess damage after the massive Feb. 27 earthquake that killed more than 700 people. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is making an initial $10,000 emergency grant to Chilean Methodists.

The offering received at that service goes to the Youth Service Fund was raised and will added to the account that provides grants locally and around the world for youth who are in ministry.
