Description

The King's Camp is founded upon Christian values and provides the opportunity to share in the joy of camping with other Christian believers. Experience a time of spiritual refreshment, enjoy the beauty of God's great creation, and may God bless you as you camp with us.



The King's Camp is located approximately 90 miles west of Chicago and 30 miles south of Rockford. There are 90 scenic acres that contain lush woods, grassy fields, and hiking trails, a bubbling stream and a lake. Wildlife and wildflowers abound. The King's Camp provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities for everyone to enjoy.

May 7-9
Mother's Day Weekend
Saturday Lunch: 12:00 noon – Kings Camp will provide a hot dog lunch. Please bring a dish to share.
Calling all kids – Mom's Duck Race Rules: Buy mom a duck or two for the duck race.
Cost: One Duck – $2.50 Two Ducks – $4.00
Prizes for race: First Place – One night free camping
Second Place – 4 free visitor passes worth $20.00
Third Place – Coupon for $10.00 at canteen

Memorial Day Weekend – Official opening of the lake: 10:00 am
Friday Evening: 7:00 pm. Movie in Shelter B

All Camp Breakfast
Bring your favorite breakfast dish to share. Drinks provided by Kings Camp. Sign up/call Ginny by June 5th.
June 18-20

Father's Day Weekend
Friday Evening: 7:00 pm. Movie in Shelter B
Saturday Lunch: 12:00 noon – King Camp will provide a brat lunch.
Please bring a dish to share. Calling all kids – Dad's Boat Derby. Rules: Make your own boat out of anything that will float across the lake (must be home made). Cost: $3.00.
Prizes for race: First Place – One night free camping
Second Place – 4 free visitor passes worth $20.00
Third Place – Coupon for $10.00 at canteen. Special music at shelter. TBA

July 2-4

Patriotic Weekend
Friday Evening: 7:00 pm – Movie in Shelter B.
Saturday: 12:00 Noon . – Picnic in the Park. Bring a dish to pass.
(Decorate campers, bicycles, pets and your family. Prizes will be given for each category.) Sunday Afternoon Parade: 1:30 pm – Parade starts at the Canteen. Prizes will be awarded after parade.

July 17-18

Ice Cream Social – Saturday: 5:00 pm – Ham Sandwiches – Prices will be posted at Grace Center.

July 31
Kings Camp Sing-Along – Saturday: 7:00 pm – Sing-Along place to be announced and details to follow.
August 13-15

International Weekend
Friday Night Movie: 7:00 pm in Shelter B
Saturday: International Pot Luck Dinner: 5:00 pm – in Grace Center
Bring an International or Ethnic Dish to share. Bingo in Grace Center: 6:30 pm
Saturday: 7:00 pm Terry Hall Concert - Shelter B

Labor Day Weekend

Saturday Evening: 7:00 pm – Music Concert with Kingsmen Four

The Kings Camp Fall Festival
Saturday: Come one – come all. Enjoy the beautiful fall colors at the Kings Camp.
Decorate pumpkins, bobbing for apples, scavenger hunt, and wagon rides.
Saturday Evening: 5:00 pm – Weiner Roast, Smores and much more. Sign up with Ginny or call the camp.
October 16

Closing Work Day – 9:00 am
King Camp Closes for the Season and Work Day – Volunteers needed & lunch provided.
