The Day Camp programs for
the children of Grundy County started in 1980. If you have been a service project camper, you know why. Many times, you have personally worked at or visited a site where there are many children with nothing to do but be bored or get into trouble. Day Camp was started in response to the need for these children to have a positive and safe community in which to be loved and challenged. The ministry suspended the program a few years ago due to a lack of funding and interest by participants. In the fall of 2006 we decided that we would do what we could to provide this opportunity once again . ... Newland, NC, 28657
