Camp Ockanickon for Boys is a traditional overnight camp that provides a supportive environment for "boys to be boys" without the pressure of cliques and popularity contests often found in school and in the neighborhood. At Ocky, the counselors create an atmosphere of inclusion, where it is okay for campers to come out of their shell and be themselves. They sleep in rustic, open-air cabins and participate in activities with other campers from their age group. Each cabin houses one or two counselors and 5 - 7 campers. Each cabin group eats together in our Dining Hall where we serve our delicious meals family style. The campers share the responsibility of setting and clearing the table and for going up to get second helpings for the table. Campers follow a structured schedule that includes some activity periods that are already scheduled for their age group and some activity periods where they choose the activity themselves. ...

For campers that have some basic familiarity with playing the game and who love the sport, we suggest our Junior Training Tennis Camp (JTC).

JTC is designed particularly for players who are looking to gain an advantage in next year's team tryouts for their high school or who are looking to play at the collegiate level. The program is operated at The Marcus Lewis Tennis Center located in Acton and it is run by a core of trained instructors (not camp counselors). Besides being an instructor for the MLTC, the director of the program is also the coach of the Acton-Boxborough JV boys team. For many players, this is potentially a chance for the coach to see you before next year! Players are versed in both the fundamentals as well as the techniques that they will need to succeed at a competitive level. ...
