TLC Camp was established in 1983. Our purpose is to provide a fun-filled week of camp activities for children with cancer and a sibling. The children are ages 5 through 13. What makes this camp unique is that it is the only camp in the state of Illinois that allows a sibling to share in the experience. The Lombard Junior Woman's Club sponsors TLC Camp. Lombard Juniors is a volunteer organization established more than 75 years ago. Both Lombard Juniors Woman's Club and TLC Camp are not-for-profit. The camp costs the Lombard Junior Woman's Club approximately $500 per camper. A continuing goal is to have each camper attend free of charge. To meet that goal, TLC funding relies on donations from civic organizations, churches, corporations and private individuals. Exploration of the natural world is interwoven with games, song, story, music arts, hiking, and swimming. Campers are introduced to plant, animal and earth science, participate in overnight trips, and then pursue their strongest interests in a project of their own design. Each afternoon brings a new selection of activities. ...

28 YEARS AGO, Westcoast Connection – Teen Travel Experiences began with the goal of using exciting, memorable travel to enlighten and inspire teenagers and to enhance their understanding of themselves along the way. With a simple philosophy of "EACH & EVERY" we could never have guessed how many thousands of teens would come to share in our spirited and tightly knit groups where everybody is included in an enriching program.

The philosophy of respecting the individual while also creating a bonded group is as important today as it was when we began. And even more important in today's global community is the need for teens to travel beyond the classroom and away from home. By moving outside their comfort zone, our tour members experience different cultures and new adventures that encourage self-development.

To celebrate our 28 years of providing diverse and exciting active experiences, we have dedicated our 360° Student Travel website to our Community Service, Languag ...
