Welcome to another summer of Girl Scout Camp and the amazing experiences that can change
the way a girl – whether she is presently a Girl Scout or not – sees the world and her place in
it. At Girl Scouts of Connecticut, our aim for summer camp is to help girls in grades K-12 learn
the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal setting, the spirit of teamwork, and
the thrill of accomplishment. Each camp is a place where girls can dream, make friends, and
create treasured memories that will last a lifetime. Camp is an open and nurturing environment
where girls build skills that will serve them all their lives and that will strengthen their courage,
confidence, character, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth, so they are
better able to make wise decisions and take on life's challenges with optimism and success. ...

BCWS summer camp was founded in 1963, and has been in continual operation ever since. Exploration of the natural world is interwoven with games, song, story, music arts, hiking, and swimming. Campers are introduced to plant, animal and earth science, participate in overnight trips, and then pursue their strongest interests in a project of their own design. Each afternoon brings a new selection of activities. ...

28 YEARS AGO, Westcoast Connection – Teen Travel Experiences began with the goal of using exciting, memorable travel to enlighten and inspire teenagers and to enhance their understanding of themselves along the way. With a simple philosophy of "EACH & EVERY" we could never have guessed how many thousands of teens would come to share in our spirited and tightly knit groups where everybody is included in an enriching program.

The philosophy of respecting the individual while also creating a bonded group is as important today as it was when we began. And even more important in today's global community is the need for teens to travel beyond the classroom and away from home. By moving outside their comfort zone, our tour members experience different cultures and new adventures that encourage self-development.

To celebrate our 28 years of providing diverse and exciting active experiences, we have dedicated our 360° Student Travel website to our Community Service, Languag ...
